The first alpha version of the KWinTV rewrite has been released! This release, Alpha 1, is not considered to be a stable release. It serves several purposes including:

• Demonstration of the upcoming design
• Provide a relatively usable package to help some users who have had difficulty with KWinTV since upgrading to KDE 3.0
• Provide developers with a working base system so that they can help port to other platforms, write plugins, or work directly on the code, graphics and documentation
• Determine the suitability of the current design and plugins
• There are no binaries of "Alpha 1" available, you will have to compile it yourself! Please also consult the download section.

The rewrite of kWinTV is currently under progress. The latest released version of kWinTV is v0.8.11 for KDE 2. It is available from the download section.

The latest version of kWinTV and the code in progress is available from the CVS repository.

An alpha release of the new kWinTV (QtVision) is available from the download section.
